Pizza Shipping FAQ
Preheat your oven to 450. Place pizza on center rack and let cook for 10-12 minutes or until crust is golden brown and crispy.
Gentleman Jim’s is specifically concerned with keeping your food fresh during delivery and keeping shipping costs in line. In order to provide you with a delicious pizza experience, we have tested various pizza delivery methods to assure fresh pizza delivery. We have determined that shipping our food directly from our freezers via 1 to 2 days in transit gives you the best results for product freshness.
Your Gentleman Jim’s pizza is “par” cooked in our oven. We then freeze it in our subzero freezer and package it in a foam cooler with enough dry ice to keep the contents cold for the entirety of transit.
Some important information about the dry ice we use in our packages:
- Dry ice is extremely cold at -109.3°F!
- Any remaining dry ice in your package should be handled with care. Avoid contact with your skin.
- Don’t see any dry ice left? It’s OK! We expect the dry ice to evaporate during transit.
- We guarantee that your items will still be frozen or cool to the touch upon delivery.
- If you are not ready to enjoy your items just yet, place the contents in the freezer.
To avoid your pizza being warehoused in a UPS depot over a long weekend we ship only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. Additionally, by shipping on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays we avoid the high UPS weekend surcharges. Shipping on Thursday and Friday are available for an additional fee.
All products will be shipped within 24 to 48 hours of your order via 2 day air or UPS Ground depending on your location. For special delivery situations or special delivery instructions please call (301) 963-7778. Gentleman Jim’s guarantees freshness and quality. We are confident your pizza delivery will meet our high standards, providing you with a delicious pizza.
Yes. Place your order on our web site, then call (301) 963-7778 to have your order delivered overnight for an additional fee.
In order to ship a package, we need:
- A complete street address with correct zip code, apartment or suite number (if applicable), and correct spellings of streets and city
- A daytime phone number for the recipient
- A business name is needed for all business addresses
Delays due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses voids our guarantee. Please be sure to double check addresses.
We DO NOT ship to:
- P.O. Boxes
- APO Addresses
- HC addresses
Deliveries are made without a signature so you do not need to be home to receive the package.
Our packages are ideal for gifts. Who wouldn’t want to receive a Gentleman Jim’s Pizza in the mail?!
We strongly advise you notify the recipient that a perishable package is coming. Due to the time sensitive nature of our frozen products, UPS always delivers them without a signature. It would be a crying shame if the food went bad because no one knew it was coming!
For your convenience, we do not include prices or a receipt of any kind with our shipments.
